La Salle

“After a disappointing start to the new year as a house, the La Salle boys have really hit back hard athletically, with significant involvement amongst ACC sports including senior cricket, tennis and volleyball, and ACC athletics which occurred on Thursday (23/02/23) - absolutely outstanding. With so many other extracurricular activities coming up - I encourage all the La Salle students to continue to include themselves in everything that comes up. It will be great as the vice-captain of the house to see smattering amounts of green collars always getting involved. Unfortunately, with the lack of luck on athletics day for both senior and junior carnivals - we struck gold with boys in most year-level groups coming top 3 for athletics champion. It was very great to see. Bring on the rest of the year.”

“With a running start to school since the beginning of Term 1, La Salle has had a rocky start to the year with an unfortunate loss in the Senior and Junior House Athletics. But, it was great to see so many boys involved in different events in Athletics and a good turnout for La Salle in the Hackett Mile. Our huge involvement in ACC as well as our big effort in ACC Athletics has made it clear that we are still in the running for a Beda Shield win. With planning for House Music already underway, the leader and I are pretty confident that every House Event from this point onwards is secured for La Salle!”

I am proud of all the participation of La Salle students across the various House events so far this year, especially those that had great personal success. I look forward to what they can produce in the House Swimming, Music and Arts competitions as well as the effort that has already been put into raising much-needed funds for Mission Action Day in late March. The only way is up La Salle!!
