In The Spotlight

Howdy! I’m Mr Roberts (Jake to parents) and I’m one of the Foundation teachers. I’ve been very fortunate to teach at OGPS for the last 11 years!

Here are some things that you may or may not know about me:

• I have 3 daughters, that all go to school here – Ava, Mila & Isla.
• My wife, Mel, also works in the office sometimes!
• Mick, our wonderful gardener is my father-in-law.
• I own a few horses (not in my backyard though!). 
• I am going to be on Who Wants to be a Millionaire next week!
• I was school captain at Horsham College.
• I love music and play a few instruments but mostly guitar these days.
• I love tending to my lawn – Lawn Addicts sell the best stuff!

Hi everyone! I’m Emily, Em or Miss Merrett. 😊

This year I’m lucky enough to teach Foundation at OGPS. I absolutely love the hilarious questions I get asked and how much their little brains can learn in one year.

Some of my favourite things are:

• Travel - Last Summer holidays I went to Mexico and Colombia with my partner Chris. We had a fantastic time, despite being bitten by a scorpion! My favourite part was exploring the beaches and waterfalls in the jungle.
• Op shopping - Recently I purchased a pair of roller skates, it is definitely harder than it looks!
• The beach - I love spending my free time at the beach, this year I would love to learn to surf. 
• Being active - This year I will be competing in an adventure race that includes a run, mountain bike ride and kayak on the river.
