Semester 1 Reflections

Maritime Museum

During term 2, all Torrens classes visited the Maritime Museum at Port Adelaide. Here are several recounts and personal reflections from our students.

At the Maritime Museum it was good because we learnt about Australian history. Learning about Matthew Flinders and also some of the boats that sailed to South Australia was interesting. Going on the cruise was also very fun! Lara

We went in to the Museum and did a treasure hunt. The treasure hunt was like a mystery that was easy. After that there was a lady talking about Christopher Columbus and Captain Cook, as well as other Australian explorers. Next, we went on the Archie Badenoch (a boat) and saw 2 dolphins.

After that we climbed up the light house. We were scared because we were about 100 metres up. After that we had lunch and some of us played chasey on the grass. After that we reflected about what we have done while overlooking the Port River.

We enjoyed it because we learnt lots of stuff.
