Peforming Arts

What a great start to term it's been. It is so wonderful seeing all the children excited to be back at school.

Last week, during our last week of remote learning, the 5/6 students participated in a Virtual Camp. One of the evening activities was a "Talent Show". We were blown away with the talents that the children displayed.

Congratulations to Julian and Taya, our winners. Julian tells me that it only took him a day to master riding the unicycle! Now that's talent!!!!

Instrumental Music 2021

This is an invitation for your child to join the Instrumental Music Program in 2021.

Instrumental Music at Great Ryrie Primary School is an amazing and engaging co-curricular program.  Learning an instrument is not only fun but during the restrictions in 2020, it provided many students with an exciting and engaging pastime which supports and strengthens their academic progress.

We anticipate that all of our Instrumental Music Teachers will be able to return to onsite teaching in 2021. We will be offering 20 min or 30 min individual lessons. The cost of lessons will stay the same and have not increased since 2019, making this relatively low-priced compared to similar programs.

The enrollment process for 2021 Instrumental Music Lessons at Great Ryrie is now open. You can find an “Expression of Interest” form on Compass>School Documentation>GRPS Community>Performing Arts>Instrumental Music. Please download and complete the form. Completed forms can be emailed to me directly Peta.Murray@education.vic.gov.au or printed and handed in to the General Office.

We look forward to working with your child/children in 2021.

Yours sincerely,

Peta Murray and Jessica Syme
