Blazer Fittings for Year 7 2021

The formal uniform worn in Year 6 continues into Year 7 with the addition of a blazer and tie.  As the School Shop is subject to limits on customer numbers, families may wish to attend the Shop to have a blazer fitting during Term 4.  A generous exchange period is offered on the purchase of new garments so that you can shop early with confidence and Shop staff can also provide advice on sizing and other considerations if purchasing second hand.  Appointments are not required for blazer fittings and the Shop term time opening schedule can be found on the School website.

Year 6 Exhibition - Tuesday 10 November

The PYP Exhibition is a significant event in an IB school. As a culminating experience for Year 6 students, it is an opportunity to independently exhibit the attributes of the learner profile and identify, investigate and offer solutions to real-life issues. It is also an opportunity to demonstrate the essential elements of the PYP program: knowledge, concepts, skills, action and taking agency of their own learning.

The big idea this year is ‘Making Decisions with Integrity’. Students were encouraged to inquire into an ethical dilemma and find information to support multiple points of view. They were encouraged to collect many different perspectives by speaking to primary resources and taking action.

Due to COVID-19, we have moved the time and venue to allow our Year 6 families to participate in and celebrate the students’ learning journey. Exhibition 2020 ‘EDFEST’ will be held on the Morris Bottom Green on Tuesday 10 November. Sharing with our student community will be 12.00-3.00pm and for our Year 6 families from 5.30-6.30pm.
