Finishing 2020.....
Staff have been working amazingly hard to provide a great finish to 2020 for all the students. The school is suddenly really busy again - fantastic.
Parents are asked to be alert to notices coming home about the various activities, particularly the plans being formulated for Level 6 Graduation. These notices will be emailed.
Looking forward to 2021....
With 2020 being such an unusual year, we are very aware and focused on the needs of students in 2021. We know there is a possibility for a range of different issues. We have a number of programs and strategies in place to respond to these issues. Parents, please do not hesitate to communicate with your child's 2021 teacher if there are any specific concerns around academic abilities, behaviour or social groups. Students will be advised of their 2021 teacher on Tuesday 15 December.
Parent Update (last one.... maybe!!)
An update has been sent to parents today, outlining the recent changes to restrictions for schools. Please read this carefully.
A couple of key changes from Monday 30 November are:
- a return to a 9.00am - 3.30pm school day
- parents permitted back into the school grounds
- Kinder-Foundation transition allowed in school, plus interaction with Buddies allowed
- parents permitted to attend graduation (with restrictions).
There is still a need for caution around social distancing, wearing facemasks and good hygiene, but it is great to have a feel that school is getting back to normal.
TeamKids Holiday Program
Please have a good look at the options provided for the TeamKids Holiday Program, starting Monday 4 January. This is TeamKids first program for Jells Park and they are fired up and ready to go - the activities look fantastic.
If you think it likely that you may use TeamKids during the holiday, please ensure that you have registered. Registration is free and can be done online at link: www.teamkids.com.au or call 1300 035 000.
Enrolment Space
There is availability for enrolment in some year levels - Level 1-6 for next year. We welcome enquires from any interested families.

2021 Foundation students
Today Mr Oakey and I had the pleasure of meeting many of our 2021 Foundation students and their families. It was wonderful to be able to open the gates and welcome everyone into the school. There were lots of smiles and we hope all the students had a great time meeting some of the teachers. We are looking forward to next Friday when we will welcome everyone into school again for our final transition session.
