Student achievements

Congratulations to the following students: 

Lily Castellana (Year 8), who has been awarded first prize in the Year 7-8 category of the 2020 Australian Society for Medical Research National Secondary School's Quiz for Tasmania. 

 

Alicia Dale (Year 7), who has been named as the winner of the Pardey Shield, the state's most prestigious tennis tournament for Tasmanian school students. At just 13 years of age, Alicia also set a new record as the state's youngest girls' champion. 

 

Cara Watt (Year 4) and Jasmine Williams (Year 5), who received distinctions in the ICAS English competition held in Term 3. 

 

Nina Canning (Year 2), who wrote a story that was shortlisted for the Catholic Education Tasmania Creative Storytelling Showcase. Nina will attend an awards ceremony on 26 November. 

 

Year 7-8 Division 1 Basketball Team defeated Mount Carmel College.

Year 9-10 Division 1 Basketball Team defeated Sacred Heart College.

Bonnie Bowden (Year 10), Davina Cox (Year 8), Isabelle Hogget (Year 8) and Jessica Smith (Year 7), who achieved podium finishes in the Tasmanian All Schools Athletics event. Bonnie finished 2nd in the Under 18 100m, 3rd in 200m and 1st in long jump; Davina finished 2nd in Under 16 hammer and 1st in shotput; Isabelle finished 2nd in the Under 16 1500m by a mere 0.48th of a second; and Jessica finished 2nd in Under 14 1500m.
