From the Principal

This week is the last school week for Year 12 students. It is a week full of tradition and fun, and in the background they are busily studying for upcoming exams. Last night they had a Mass of thanksgiving and a beautiful ceremony to graduate.

They are a remarkable year group, who have grown close in adversity. They epitomise resilience, having made it through this challenging year as the class of 2020. Please keep them in your prayers in coming weeks.

We also congratulate their families. The time between leaving their children for their first day at Kinder and seeing them graduate as young women seems to go in a flash. Thank you to the parents of Year 12s for walking with us over the years, and supporting us in the education of your precious daughters. We have been blessed by your generosity and community spirit. I particularly wish to thank Mandy and Tony O’Connell, Dee and Matt Lamb, Maria Colavecchio, and Nick and Natalie Prokopiec.

At their Graduation Mass, the staff sing them an Irish blessing. I share it here in their honour.

The Blessing Song

May the Lord look upon you with kindness

and give you His peace.

May He free you from all anxiety,

and make your worries cease.

May He hear your every prayer

and guide your way in His love.

May He keep you safe forever from all harm.

May your days be blessed with friendship

and your home with His grace.

May you always be blessed by His presence

with you in every place.

May courage and faith walk beside you

May you grow in His love day by day.

And in love may you strengthen each other forever.

Amen.
