Summer Reading House Challenge

The Summer Reading House Challenge is back on. Students and staff are invited to read a book over the summer break, then talk to a member of the Library Team about it in the first two weeks back. By doing this you will earn your House one point. Only one book per person, so everyone can contribute equally towards their house points. Byrne House won the shield in 2020. Which house name will be added to it in 2021?

eBooks and audioBooks

For the rest of Term 4 and the Summer holidays the Library's eBook portal will be hosting a wide range of both eBooks and audioBooks. Check out the range and let us know what you think. The portal can be accessed via the star dropdown in Compass.

The Wantirna College Great Paper Plane Challenge

While we were all learning from home during Term 3 the Library and the Maths department teamed up to bring you the Wantirna College Great Paper Plane Challenge. Students and staff were invited to experiment at home to develop a plane with the furthest flight. The winner with a flight length of 16.5m was Zachery Day in Year 7. Congratulations Zachery - we hope you are enjoying your prize of the PowerUp 3 0 Smartphone App Controlled Paper Airplane.
