Mr Reid's Sports Report

Soccer Clinic

In Week 6 & 8 of Term 3, ‘State Soccer’ came to West Beach Primary to run 3 clinics and a mini carnival for those students who committed to the school soccer season. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions the season was cancelled so the purpose of running the clinics and carnival day was to keep the momentum of soccer interest in the school, and to hopefully keep registration numbers up for next year.

It is a pleasure to advise parents that the clinic and mini carnival were successful. The weather on Friday 11th September in particular was a little sunny and hot, not what we were too use to in early Spring, however all the students lathered up with sunblock, listened to each State Soccer instructor and participated positively the entire afternoon.

The staff at State Soccer mentioned how well behaved the students were, so a big 'thank you' not only to State Soccer but also to the students for making the day run well and smoothly.

I hope your child enjoyed what State Soccer provided and are now looking forward to the 2021 season. Next year be my last year as soccer delegate and I would like to invite any parent interested in sharing the role with me - it is a volunteer role that is certainly rewarding and a wonderful way to be a part of the school community.

Enjoy the photos, there are more individual ones that will be sent via email.
