Year 9's Helping the Homeless

In Community Services we have been attempting to help the homeless throughout these difficult times. We have undertaken a number of activities to raise items and money that can be donated to organizations that assist the homeless. We have had support from many Ballarat businesses such as Bakers Delight Wendouree, Davis Wholesale Meats, Bake & Grind, IGA, Chemist Warehouse, Rebel Sport, So Soft, Ferndale Mints and we thank them for their donations.

We have managed to donate 150 sausages and 14 loaves of bread to the soup bus. We have put together homeless packs with the donations we have received. We are conducting a second-hand clothes drive between November 23rd and 26th. We ask year 9 students to bring in any unwanted clothes (in good condition) to school through those days, and put them in the bins at the year 9 building. The last activity is a colour run and a mini game fundraising day set for December 9th.
