Principal's Message

At the end of 2021, there was a lot of talk about how 2022 was going to be a return to normal, but as the year got off to a start with the 'Omicron Wave' it became quite clear that the year was going to be anything but. Masks and isolating due to having Covid or being a close contact was still occurring, and while thankfully ‘Learning from Home’ was a thing of the past, excursions and camps were still curtailed.  Additionally, not only did we have to readjust to all being onsite together all of the time, we also had perhaps our biggest departure of graduating students and influx of new students. Term one was further complicated with all the terrible weather and it rained so much that the water came from below the building and flooded the recreation room.

From this challenging start to the year, I am so proud of what the school community, and most notably our students, have been able to achieve in 2022  We have had so many successes, both individual and collective.  It has been a real pleasure to acknowledge these at both our Junior Presentation Day and Graduation Formal which were two wonderful events held in December that were coordinated by our newly appointed Student Representative Council. This newsletter captures some of the other exciting events and developments within our school recently. We hope you enjoy reading it.

Have a safe and restful time over the summer break, and we look forward to a wonderful 2023 where our students can their positive stories of reengaging in education!
