Performing Arts Faculty

Dear Parents,

The current world situation has certainly made us all rethink the approaches we must take to fulfilling our daily duties. For faculties such as Performing Arts, that involve heavy practical components to their courses, it has definitely caused staff to reshape the curriculum in order to ensure our students receive the best possible experience from the work they undertake at home.

The Music department is undergoing one to one google meet lessons, which keep the students up to date with the development of their musical skills. As for the Drama department, the ensemble performance tasks have been redesigned as solo tasks that the students are able to develop and film for assessment. Although they are missing out on the experience of group collaborations, these skills will be focused on once schools are re-opened and we can all go back to some sense of normality.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all families a safe and positive term. This is certainly a time for us to all learn together!
