In the final week of term 2, year 7 and 8 were able to conduct ‘Celebration Assemblies’ where we had the opportunity to recognise many of the successes of our students from throughout the term.

The assemblies were impressively led by our Year 7/8 EF leaders:

Year 7 – Meg McBride, Tyler Simpson, Jordi Leon and Nic Lynch.

Year 8 – Izzy Kern, Jayden Dellar, Sindy Sewgolam, Bailey McKay

Students were recognised for their classroom efforts in a range of learning areas as well as a number of extra curricula areas. We were also treated to a wonderful performance by our year 8/9 band which showed what is possible with application and dedication to a new skill – a very impressive performance.

Students watched a presentation regarding Kindness and a special story of one man’s random act of kindness. We were also able to recognise a number of students who have performed their own acts of kindness. Many acts were identified from handing in a found item to supporting a student in distress. We feel it is very important to recognise the things that we want to see more of, and building kindness within our school is certainly a focus area for the school. We also know that there are many more students participating in such helpful behaviour's and want to recognise we appreciate everyone's contributions in this area.

Our Pride, Respect and Responsibility awards were presented for term 2 to those students who are recognised as displaying our school values to a high level consistently both in and outside the classroom.
