Class News

Prep

It's official!

The wait is finally over, as Miss Tierney made a big announcement to the Prep students  "Tom and I are going to become parents and are expecting baby to arrive later this year".   You could hear the screams of excitement from Nepean Highway!

The students instantly offered their name suggestions which came forth at a rate of speed, that Miss Tierney couldn't keep up with and for a moment there, looked like one of those bobble head dogs.

To save her neck, Miss Tierney decided to run a competition of who had the best name which suited the baby at this point in time.  So each child calmly took it in turns to state their suggested name and gender.

Stella J was announced the winner, with that age old favourite........GEOFFRY!

We are so HAPPY FOR YOU

We can't wait to meet little Geoffry!

In Prep this week we have been learning about subtraction and creating funny stories using toys, drawings and our imaginations. We are such a creative class and could think of lots of amazing subtraction stories.

In Prep we love hanging out with our buddies and joining our learning together. Late last term we were learning about sinking and floating in Science. We created boats out of junk materials and tested how many marbles it would take to sink our amazing creations. We were so amazed with the results and how waterproof and strong some of the boats were.
