Prep/One News!

Dear Parents, 

Welcome back to Term 3! It has been great to see all the children back after the school holidays. 

Unfortunately, as you are all aware, we are currently in another lockdown. However, the students in Prep/One SO have taken this lockdown in their stride and always come to our Google Meets with a smile on their face and an enthusiasm for learning.

The students especially enjoy the 12:30pm Google Meet ‘Catch ups’ where we come together and listen to a story.  Students also share their special ‘Show and Tell’ for the day where they bring and share any object or toy of their choice. They also love changing their backgrounds on their Google Meets and this is the time for the students to relax and enjoy spending time together.

In Literacy, Prep/1SO have created their own alliteration statements using their name (nouns) with an action word (verbs) to match. They were very creative and bright and we will display their great work in our classroom. 

The Preps are learning about the letter ‘E’. Identifying the letter name and the sound. 

Year Ones have been learning about plurals and adding the suffix ‘s’ to the end of words, as well as learning about the digraph ‘ar’. 

During lockdown students have been given revision activities; letters, digraphs, adjectives and tricky words that we have learnt during Term Two.
