Dear Families

Welcome to Term 3.

The term started off smoothly and everyone was looking forward to normality and consistency but within a few days everything changed to remote learning, an experience we know too well.

Our staff acted swiftly and within hours were ready to deliver a quality remote learning package that would be easy to work with both at home and onsite at school.

I am proud to say that that the excellent collaboration between the staff ensured that packs of work and laptops for those that needed them were ready by 3.30pm on the day of the snap lockdown announcement.

The commitment of the staff must not be taken for granted as we prove yet again that we are able to deliver an excellent program no matter the situation.

I have been told that some schools were so unprepared that the families were told that no work would be delivered until confirmation of an extension to the lockdown. One of our families that have relocated to NSW informed me how superior our Distance Learning program was.  We would all prefer a life without lockdown but our school should be proud of how we come together to support the continued learning and teaching for our students.

Dates and events  for this term have been changed or cancelled due to restrictions but we have tried to keep events to schedule as much as possible.  Please read the weekly Sunday Bulletin for your child’s class so that you are aware of the week ahead.

Congratulations to our Prep children who will be celebrating 100 days of school next Wednesday.  We hope that they will be on-site for the celebration.

Our students must be congratulated on the way they have engaged and embraced in their learning yet again.  Working in unity helps to keep the learning momentum on track.

Please keep in your prayers the families that have been effected by the current COVID situation especially those that are in our neighborhood and overseas.

If you haven't seen them all yet, please find below the Kaboom photos from our celebrations last week.

Kind regards

Margaret Carlei
