Welcome back to Term 3 with nearly two weeks down already. It has been a very wet month so far and continues to rain, almost daily. Can we suggest that if you are yet to purchase some ‘wet weather’ gear and gumboots it might be a great time to do so.  Many students are returning wet at lunchtime or through-out the day which will only exacerbate the ‘cold and flu’ season.

Unclaimed Laundry

We have an incredible amount of unclaimed clothing coming through the laundry and the ladies are completely overwhelmed with the quantity.  The College has tried various ways to return them to their correct owners, with very little success.  We displayed them on Open Day and in the Dining room on several occasions.  From now on all articles of clothing without names or numbers will be placed directly into a large blue container in the laundry.

We would really like to return clothing back to the owners and are open to new suggestions about how to go about it.  If anyone has any ideas please contact us.

After hours' Activities

Staff have tried to come up with new ideas to entertain and engage our Boarding community.  Most times the ideas are initially supported but we regularly find that when the time comes there is not enough support for it to go ahead.

In recent weeks this has happened on a couple of occasions.  Jodee Sayer proposed an after hours' Girls Boot Camp with a huge number indicating interest and support.  Monday night she came to the College in her own time and had very little support at all. It is disappointing to say the least.

Ray and Annette Gerrard, from Gerrard Consulting sponsored a Motox training day here onsite with the Number 3 rider in Australia, Jayden Rykers coaching for 6 hours. Initially we had good support with all students who signed up  and were asked if they were sure they would be available and committed to the day.

Unfortunately, numbers dropped away to the point that it was no longer viable to run the event.  Ray, Annette and Jayden were very disappointed and as Jayden is fully booked with other commitments  there is no current opportunity to reschedule.

Student Vehicles

A reminder to our ‘Driving’ students, if you change the vehicle which you are driving to the College, you will need to notify use so we can update our records.
