INTRODUCING ANGIE PAI

The Visual Arts Team are very excited to officially welcome Angie Pai as our new Arts Technician for Semester Two! Angie is a Taiwanese Australian artist who, over the last few years, has participated in several exhibitions throughout Australia and Taiwan, including galleries such as Caves Gallery in Melbourne and Vermillion Gallery in Sydney. Angie is also represented by River Art Gallery in Taichung City, Taiwan.

Angie explores the reflection and practice of Buddhist and Taoist philosophy in a contemporary context, working predominately in woodcarving. She has been featured in a variety of articles and campaigns, as a must-know artist and creative, including Vogue Australia, Puma and Telstra.

We are very excited to be working with her this Semester, and we look forward to providing the school community with some exciting new exhibitions and events.

Working with practising artists is a real privilege that our students at McKinnon now have access to. Angie's experience as an international artist and creative will provide our students with a greater understanding of the place and importance of art in a real-world context.
