Victorian Careers Show Expo

Year 11 VCAL students attended the Victorian Careers Show Expo last Friday at the Melbourne Showgrounds.

As part of their VCAL studies, the students planned and organised the trip and had the opportunity to investigate various careers whilst at the Expo.

Lunchtime Club

Spinning, knitting, crochet and weaving - every Wednesday lunchtime in STEAM.

FUN in the LIBRARY

The Library at lunchtime looks a little bit different this term, due to the building works in the VCE area.

We have a large mix of students all convening in different areas - chatting, collaborating with minecraft, kazoo building, working on Maths homework - all under the watchful eyes of our wonderful Librarian Mrs O'Kennedy  and Katelin Paladino (Year 10).

Year 7 Humanities

On Tuesday 3 May, Year 7 students in the SEALP class (7A),  were out and about in the community asking questions for their Humanities project.

Under the watchful eyes of Ms Edwards and Ms Colyer; students honed their communication skills by asking their survey questions.

Students were grateful to our wonderful community who took a few moments out of their day to chat to the students.

We also bumped into an ex LHS student, Zoe Eggleton (Year 12 Captain) who stopped to give advice to our boys about University and how to succeed at school - what a legend!

Even though the Year 7 students were nervous, they were very brave and we are very proud of all of them.

Year 7A Community Time Mindful class Banner

We ran out of time to complete our Year 7A Homeroom banner last term, so we spent some time in Week 1, Term 2 to be 'mindful' and create our individual trees.

We decided to create a forest to represent our values of 'Responsibility', 'Gratitude' and 'Empathy'.  We are looking forward to finally making our banner and placing it up in our Home Room.

Year 9 Ceramics

Students are currently working on their expressive animals and mythical creature sculptural designs in class.

The learning goal is to create an animal/creature that has a sense of movement and expression!
