St Vincent de Paul - Winter Appeal
(DONATIONS of Non perishable tin or packaged food Please)
This week we officially launch our Winter Appeal to help out the St Vincent de Paul Shepparton Society.
The Catholic Identity Year 6 Leadership Team will deliver a short speech announcing this launch tomorrow after our MJR Awards.
Every year our Winter Appeal provides relief for the homelessness during the Winter months to rebuild lives.
To carry out our Appeal this year, we will be looking for your support to DONATE NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS either in TINS OR PACKAGING.
More information will be provided on the School App and the Catholic Identity team will visit classrooms each week to provide regular updates throughout June.
We will end our Appeal on June 24th with the Feast of the Sacred Heart Assembly Prayer/Liturgy and a presentation of donations to St Vincent de Paul.

The Gospel Story
On the day of Pentecost the disciples were all together in one place.
All of a sudden, Jesus appeared in the room with them.
He gave them the gift of the Holy Spirit and sent them into the world to continue his work of healing and forgiving people.
The Gospel
A reading from the holy Gospel according to John 20:19-23
As the Father sent me, so I send you. Receive the Holy Spirit.
The disciples were afraid of the Jewish leaders,
and on the evening of that same Sunday
they locked themselves in a room.
Suddenly, Jesus appeared in the middle of the group.
He greeted them and showed them his hands and his side.
When the disciples saw the Lord, they became very happy.
After Jesus had greeted them again, he said,
"I am sending you, just as the Father has sent me."
Then he breathed on them and said,
"Receive the Holy Spirit.
If you forgive anyone's sins, they will be forgiven.
But if you don't forgive their sins, they will not be forgiven."
