PLEASE NOTE: SCHOOL PHOTOS POSTPONED TO WEDNESDAY, 3RD AUGUST DUE TO MANY STUDENTS AND STAFF ABSENT FROM SCHOOL DUE TO ILLNESS

Dear Families,

Winter

Winter has arrived in Melbourne and we are really feeling the cold. After such a wonderful Summer and an Autumn full of beautiful days, the chill of Winter has come as a huge shock to us all. It is certainly time to get out the winter coats, beanies, gloves, and umbrellas. With the cold weather, we are also seeing many staff and children coming down with colds and flu as well as COVID.

I do ask parents to please keep children who have any cold or flu symptoms at home until they recover. At present on each day we have at least 30-40 children and 5-7 staff members absent due to being unwell. Staying at home until fully recovered will help to stop the spread of these cold and flu viruses and enable us to get back to full student and staff numbers as quickly as possible.

Parent / Teacher / Student Conversations

Our Parent/Teacher/Student conversations will be held on Thursday 23rd June with interviews starting at 12:30pm and ending at 7:00pm. Next week you will receive a letter with all details included as well as a link to book a meeting. All parents/carers are expected to make an appointment to speak with their child's teacher. If you are unable to do so on this day please contact your child's teacher to make a time for another day.

School will finish at 12:30pm on Thursday 23rd June so that teachers can attend interviews. After school care will be available from 12:30pm, if you require this service please make a booking with YLV as soon as possible.

Families will receive a copy of their fee statement by early next week. I ask all families to ensure their fees and levies are paid for Semester 1. If you have any concerns regarding the payment of these fees please make an appointment to speak to me as soon as possible
