TIRKANDI NEWS

VOLUNTEER WEEK
As this week is ‘Volunteer Week’, I would like to take this opportunity to thank some special volunteers in our Tirkandi Library … they help to keep our Library functioning. Thank you to Pauline Gaskin who comes in on Tuesdays to help with barcoding and covering of books. Also thank you to Annette Cook who comes in on Mondays and helps with reshelving books and tidying up our Library.
OVERDUE LIBRARY BOOKS
All library books and readers borrowed before the school holidays are now overdue, so please return them as soon as possible. Students cannot borrow any more books if they have an overdue!
Lost or Damaged Books & Readers will incur a $10 payment!
TIRKANDI LIBRARY BORROWING:
EARLY YEARS – Reception & Year 1 & 2 students can borrow 2 books
MIDDLE YEARS – Year 3 & 4 students can borrow 4 books
FISHER – Year 5, 6 & 7 students can borrow 6 books
Books can be kept for up to 2 weeks; all that is required is a library bag (for Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 students), and no overdue books!
TIRKANDI PARENT BORROWING:
Parents can have a borrower barcode too, and can borrow up to 10 books for 2 weeks. Come and visit us in the Library to fill in a borrower sheet and to see our Parent Library too! The Library is open to parents Monday / Tuesday / Friday (before and after school: 8.30-9.00am & 3.00-3.30pm).
TIRKANDI LIBRARY RETURNING:
Books can be returned using the classroom library box, or be placed directly in the green ‘Returns’ box in the library, when it is open. Books will then be scanned by a staff member.
