National Sorry Day
On the 26th of May it is National Sorry Day
National Sorry Day is a time for healing and forgiving.
Every year we recognise our treatment towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as part of the Stolen Generation.
We would like to raise awareness about this important topic and understand that this was wrong.
On the 26th of May we would like you all to take a moment to reflect and think about the way we have treated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the past.
Thanks for listening.

Reconciliation Week 27th May - 3rd June
National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
This year at St Finbar’s we will be contributing change by lessons run with our new online Indigenous program Wingaru Kids and also running a door competition; learning about the Australian animal each year level has been given decorating our door to reflect our learning.
Recycling our pens and markers
This year we are continuing to recycle all pens and markers at St Finbar’s.
Each classroom has a container where they place their used pens and markers. This is then collected by the Sustainability leaders and delivered to the Art Room for recycling.
