House Athletics Carnival

On Wednesday 10 August, Years 3 to 6 boarded a bus to the Knox Athletics Track. Once we arrived, there was lots of excited squeals from all the students. We were all ready for the big athletics event we haven’t held since 2019. We competed in track and field events which included triple jump, long jump, high jump, discus, shotput and 100-metre sprint. Throughout the athletics event, students got to socialise with each other, try their best in the events, and earn points for their house. At the end of the day, everyone left exhausted but proud of their achievements.

Mulgrave District Basketball Squad Trials

Mulgrave District Basketball squad trials for EHPS team will be held:

  • Junior day for Years 3 and 4 on Tuesday 30 August, to fill four EHPS teams; and
  • Senior day for Years 5 and 6 on Wednesday 7 September, to fill five EHPS teams.

Our Mulgrave District event is a fun filled day for students to participate in a sport they may not have tried before or to be part of a school team, playing with similar skill groups or friends. A great way to create memories and being active.

In previous years, Basketball Victoria has promoted the much-loved sport through Hooptime. For 2022, they have not been able run the program due to a lack of available referees. Our community sporting programs rely on umpires and referees, why not ask your local clubs if you can dust off your whites and help out!
