Wellbeing

Ms Deb Haddow

Incursion for Anti Bullying. Our THRIVE value for this term is based on RELATING WELL. This incorporates our Respectful relationships curriculum and also our anti bullying curriculum. To celebrate this, the Brainstorm presenters came out today to run a number of shows for every level of our school.

Lunchtime Clubs have been well frequented.  We have a wide range of options for students during lunch play. This is the Term 3 schedule should you wish to encourage your child to come along:

Attendance

We are looking closely at data to see who may need extra support with their academic learning, their social/emotional state and improving their attendance. When there are concerns about students making academic progress, the first thing we ask parents to do is to get their child’s hearing and sight tested. This information determines the next steps that might be required for investigation.  When students are having struggles with their social or emotional wellbeing, we refer them to a counsellor. We are fortunate enough to have one on site that bulk bills. When students are struggling with consistent attendance, we look at how we may best support them. This involves discussions with the family and child to identify their needs. Here is a helpful chart about attendance:
