Principal’s Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

Unbelievably we are coming into the halfway point of Term 3.

Thank you to everyone who attended the PTF meeting last week. This meeting was the first meeting after our Purtle Plevey/Sacred Heart School Clearing Sale. Our sincere thanks again goes to Sam Plevey and Patrick Purtle for their generosity in hosting this event. Thank you also to all of our staff, families and students for being involved in a variety of ways to support the day. We are incredibly proud and grateful for the contributions made to the success of the day. Collectively we were able to raise $12,734.20  which will assist the PTF in achieving their fundraising goals for 2022.

Our Year 5 and 6 students will be heading to Canberra for their excursion in Term 4. There has been a change to the dates of the excursion. Students will now be departing on Monday 10 October and returning on Friday 14 October. To assist in supporting our Stage 3 students in getting to Canberra, we will be assisting at AgQuip this week on the Droughtmaster barbeque site. If you are free to volunteer your time either on Tuesday or Wednesday between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm we would be very appreciative. Please contact either Kate Gough (PTF President) or myself.

An annual satisfaction survey of parents, students and staff will be conducted on behalf of all Catholic schools in the Diocese this term. The surveys are designed to gather feedback from parents, staff and students about our school and will be used to inform school improvement. Responses are confidential and individuals can not be identified. The surveys will be launched via email on Monday 22 August 2022 using the email addresses supplied to the school. Our kindergarten transition is continuing this week for students commencing kinder in 2023. If you know of anyone who is intending to enrol at Sacred Heart either in Kindergarten for 2023 or any other year group, please encourage them to contact me at school.
