Learning and Teaching Update

Dear Parents and Carers

It has been a wonderful few weeks at school with lots of learning, sport, art, drama and plenty of activities that have made our students very happy to be at school.

This term our teachers have begun to use a new lesson structure for the teaching of Mathematics. This lesson structure involves four parts and each is described below.

 This model for the teaching of Mathematics is called the ‘Student Centred Structured Inquiry’ instructional model and greatly encourages student engagement and decision making, along with the intention to include all students in the learning. Please see some pictures below of our students engaging in challenging tasks.
