Attendance Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to another term filled with lots of learning and fun! I hope you all had a restful two week break and are looking forward to hearing about your child’s successes and achievements this semester. A friendly reminder that student success is dependent upon consistent attendance. Our students need to attend school regularly in order to participate fully and gain maximum benefit from their education. Regular attendance enables our students to access all of their learning, allowing them to reach their full potential. Students with poor patterns in primary school usually continue this pattern in secondary school and often disengage from school. There is a direct link between school attendance and achievement later in life. Poor attendance also makes it difficult for children to form positive relationships with their peers therefore; we feel that regular attendance is essential for Melton West Primary School students!

Kind Regards,

Aira Agarano
