Peer Support Leaders have been up-skilled in their ability to run small games and think creatively about engaging with younger students. 2022 Peer Support Leaders also assisted incoming Year 7 students with their transition to secondary school at Orientation Day on Tuesday 7th December. So far, our leaders have run get-to-know-you games and activities and guided incoming students with their first full school day on campus.  

Year 10 Peer Support Leaders kick-started the year by welcoming Year 7's on their very first day of the high school experience. During the summer holidays, Peer Support Leaders dedicated time to make 250 paper hearts with handwritten welcoming messages. They then came to school early to make sure every Year 7 locker had one of the paper hearts on it.  

Thank you to the 2022 Peer Support Leaders for their resilient approach to the program and effort in welcoming Year 7's to the BHHS community.  BHHS Peer Support Leaders ran two sessions this term that helped Year 7's navigate difficulties associated with their transition to high school after almost two years of remote learning.  

Twenty of our Peer Support Leaders were able to join the Year 7 Orientation Camp. They organised the Camp Talent Show and Trivia Night which our Year 7 students thoroughly enjoyed.  

Looking ahead, Peer Support Leaders will continue providing outstanding support to our Year 7's throughout the year.
