From the Head of Campus' Desk

Dear Parents/Guardians

We have now been back at school for 2 weeks and for me personally it is ever so exciting to be back at Heatherton. So, how have I found it so far and what do we have here at HCC? We have an environment that is infused with the spirit of God and there is a strong sense of His presence in every area and room of the school. I have already had the privilege of showing several prospective families around and they are amazed by the sense of calm that they experience. They are impressed with the standard of the facilities and they comment on how well the students are behaved. You, as parents confirmed this in the survey data that you provided for us at the end of last year. Some highlights that I would like to share with you from that data are…

• 90% of respondents said that Heatherton is a happy and caring place
• 96% agreed that Heatherton offers a safe and secure school environment
• 92% said that high standards of behaviour are upheld at Heatherton
• 91% said their children are learning well to cooperate with others
• 93% rated our facilities highly
• 95% said that the Christian focus at Heatherton is very good
• 92% said that being at Heatherton helps their child/ren form a relationship with God.

These are wonderful results and a testament to how hard the staff have worked particularly over the last couple of years during COVID-19. I would like to share more of the feedback with our school community and will shortly send you an invite to an online meeting where I will present more in-depth feedback. We really do have a wonderful school and I would encourage you to pray for us as we head into this year.
