MCA Careers Week - 7-11 March

Here at the Careers Centre, we've been planning on new ways to help our students make decisions about future career and study pathways in a well-informed way, linked to their interests, their capacities and their aspirations. So this year we are pleased to announce our inaugural Marist College Ashgrove Careers Week in Term 1, Week 7.  This week aims to open up more opportunities for our students to understand their strengths and find careers they can truly thrive in.

All our students will be given the opportunity to talk with local tertiary, apprenticeship and work pathway providers at our Careers Expo on Thursday 10 March, enabling them to gain current information to kick start their career exploration.  Years 7-9 will be introduced to the Australian Defence Force in a lunchbox session on Monday 7 March. Years 11 and 12 will be invited to a Resume Workshop on Wednesday 9 March and Years 10 will be invited to a lunchbox session with Mr Gaiter to learn the Value of Work Experience.  Our Year 12’s are invited to a very special Careers Link Networking Virtual Session in the evening on Thursday 10 March where they will be able to directly interact with an industry professional from our local business community and MCA Old Boys.

Year 12 UCAT Tutoring

Students who are considering a career in Medicine or Dentistry are invited to free UCAT tutoring sessions every Thursday morning at 7:15am in Room 406 (next to the Careers Centre).
