Chaplain's Corner 2022
Hi MPS Family
I would just like to start this newsletter entry by saying how proud I am of our school Ccmmunity for the way we are all adapting to the many changes that have already happened in our city and in our school this term. It is hard to communicate to you the level of care and consideration that goes on each day amongst our staff and students but I go home at the end of the day in awe.
I am sure at times that has brought a level of miscommunication or disappointment but I know we are all doing our very best from all sides. Personally, I am so disappointed that we are not able to hold our "Open Night" at present as I love to see you all and meet new faces but I know as a community we understand the need for these changes.
At this stage, although some of the community events aren't going ahead, our school is able to provide other supports to our children of which I play a role each day.
Community Links and Support
Please know if you need any support of any kind for you or your family that the Student Services team and myself have access and links to many agencies. You are not alone! It is extremely common at the moment for many families to need some type of direction and support. If we know we are able to point you in the right direction. It may just be the missing puzzle piece you need to move forward in challenging times.
Breakfast Club
Up and running daily for term one with an average of 20 to 30 students each day. All students are welcome any day but unfortunately parents are not allowed inside the science room! Come and spend some time with us.
Student Social and Emotional Wellbeing
I am working closely with the Student Services team with a list of students I will be seeing with one to one support this term. If this involves your children you will be contacted by your child's Teacher or myself.
