School Council President

Welcome back

Welcome back to school to everyone and welcome to those families who have just joined our school community. After a disrupted 2020, we were hoping for a relatively normal 2021...which didn't quite pan out. Here's hoping 2022 turns out to be the 2021 we wanted.

Fantastic Fridays and Tasty Treats sales

Starting next Friday, we will be opening the canteen for recess sales of a range of snacks and drinks. Everything is either $1 or $2 so send a gold coin to school with your child if you'd like them to be able to buy something.

We had a very successful Tasty Treats sale late last year where we sold donated baked goods on a special Friday. The children loved it, the tasty treats disappeared in no time and we raised some money for the school. We'd like to hold these days more often this year and will let you know when the first one is planned. Again, a big thank-you to everyone who donated treats for our sale last year.

Swimming Carnival

We held our annual swimming carnival at Aquarena Aquatic and Leisure Centre yesterday. It was a great day and we managed to get through the event with only a few light drops of rain which came as a relief.

Congratulations to everyone who competed, particularly to the grade 3s who swam at their first carnival (and many of whom swam 50m for the first time ever) and those who tried a different stroke for the first time (particularly in the butterfly events).

Warrandyte Festival

The Warrandyte Festival is scheduled for Friday 18th and Saturday 19th of March 2022 with the name "Warrandyte: Together Again". As everyone would be aware, it's been several years since the festival has been held in full and we'd love to run a fundraising stall for the school.

We're looking for volunteers to help us plan and run a stall on Saturday 19th. Please get in touch if you are interested in helping - this has the potential to be one of our major fundraisers for the year so it would be wonderful if we could get as many helpers as possible.
