Our French Assistant Romain Lecué has been living in Australia for six months now so it was a good opportunity for our French captains to conduct a second interview with him now that he is more familiar with Australia. Here are the questions and answers.

What’s the difference between Australian children and French children?

A= Romain believes that students in Australia are more respectful and responsible, and they also don’t wear uniforms

Have you found any new interests while you have been in Australia?

A= He has been training for his first half marathon this October in Melbourne.

Have you found a new favourite food?

A= Romain’s new favourite food is Chicken Schnitzel.

How has Australia been different to France?

A= Romain believes that Australians are better drivers, more laid back and it is easier to bike ride as more people follow road rules here.

When is your birthday?

A= His Birthday is on the 20th of August (20 août)

What was your first reaction to vegemite?

A= Oh umm... (Why do people like this?)

Have you tried Arnotts biscuits, and do you think that an American company should own the brand?

A= Romain says that he would prefer Arnotts to still manufacture than there to be no Arnotts at all. He does enjoy Timtams!

 If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

A= He would go to Iceland for hiking.

If you won one million dollars, how would you spend the money?

A= Buy a reasonably sized house, give some to his family and go on holidays.

How do you compare teaching here compared to other schools?

A= The teachers here are less strict than the school he was at in London.

 

Romain has just celebrated his first birthday in winter and the Grade 5 and 6 French Club students helped prepare a little party. Esther devised some general knowledge questions to see how well Romain has adapted. See how you would fare:
