Galilee Carols

The weather was kind to us for our carols evening. We listened to songs from all year levels who were prepared by Miss Carnovale in their Performing Arts lessons. We were even lucky enough to receive a visit from Santa.

Thank you to all who attended making it a relaxed, joyful evening. We appreciate the group of parent helpers who organised or contributed in any way. 

3W Camp

This afternoon 3W head off to Melbourne Zoo for their sleepover and first camp at Galilee. Tomorrow they will enjoy a day  exploring the  zoo before returning to school. We hope they get a good night sleep and come back with wonderful stories to tell us all. Year 3R will attend the camp next Thursday 13th December.

PE change next week

All Prep students need to wear their Sport Uniform on Tuesday next week for their PE lesson.

Graduation Mass

On Monday 10th December Year 5 & 6 will attend Our Lady Mt. Carmel at 6pm to participate in the Year 6 Graduation Mass. Year 5 students are to attend the mass as they have a special tradition of a handover ceremony. All students need to wear their summer uniform.

END OF YEAR MASS - CHANGE OF START TIME

The End of Year Mass, next Friday 14th December at SPP, will begin at 9:00am. Students to please be at school on time.

Reports

Semester 2 Reports will be available for viewing on Friday 14th December. Once our IT company have uploaded the reports, an email will be sent home to parents on how to access the Nforma Parent Portal.

Second hand Uniform Shop

Carla will open the uniform shop on Monday 10th and 17th December in the morning until approximately 9.30 if you require any items of clothing.

School Fees 2019

Over the next 2 days, letters regarding fees for 2019 will come home with students (except Year 3W). The letter is attached below as well as the direct debit form if that's how you choose to pay your fees next year.

2019 Start Date

Years 1-6 will begin the school year on Thursday January 31st followed by Prep on Friday February 1st.

School Closure Days- March 7th and 8th.

2019 Staffing

For most of the term, teachers have been brainstorming and planning class groups for 2018. It is a long thought out process involving consultation with the students (about their friends), evening out genders and needs. Any further requesting for change of class is now not possible with one potential change impacting upon the suitability of many others. Any class grouping requests should have been made by November 9 as stated in previous newsletter and bulletins.
