Principal's Report

Achieving Excellence Together”

Term 1 Reflection

It has been such a fantastic start to 2021. A term full of learning, respect and co-operation.

I feel an incredible sense of gratitude and appreciation as I reflect on the term that we have had at Roxburgh Park Primary School. The celebrations and highlights have been many and varied and I am so glad that I have been given this opportunity to lead the school community.

This term we have welcomed our prep students who have been working hard to settle into school routines and expectations. Our prep teachers have been working well with all our students and families.

We have started after school activities with the introduction of Aussie Hoops with tremendous success and we can only hope to build on our after school activities throughout the year....stay tuned.

Inter school sports has started up again this year for our grade 5 and 6 students and they have also enjoyed attending camp at Sunnystones, returning today after three days full of fun and adventure.

Our student leaders continue to do an amazing job to deliver our fortnightly assemblies in the Mark Thompson gym. These are live streaming for all families to watch, link is communicated via Sentral.

A BIG congratulations to all students of the week for term 1 and a special mention to recipients of the principals awards.

We opened our classrooms, hosting our Maths Family night. Thank-you to all teachers for their work and all families who joined us in learning more about how you can support your little learners at home.

Congratulations to our lucky door prize winners and guess the lolly jar winner.

Our student Action Team representatives have began work on tackling school attendance. They have been busy taking a survey and hoping to take some action next term.

We celebrated Harmony Day with a variety of classroom activities to acknowledge cultural diversity we have within our school community. It was fantastic seeing all the wonderful costumes on the day.

Looking forward to next weeks Cross-country colour run. I am very much looking forwards to having fun and messy with our students as we raise funds for an mini basketball area for our P-2 students.
