Archery Attack

Archery Attack

Students had an exciting afternoon, testing out their skills at Archery Attack in Reservoir. They started with an instruction session and target practise then progressed to the tagging activities. Students used arrows with large foam heads to aim at moving targets, playing strategic positions like medic, assassin, and zombies. Many students had to step out of their comfort zones and use a lot of energy to help their team succeed. Thanks to Ms Rogneda and Ms Zahra for organising the event.

Kayaking

The Year 9 Outdoor Education team started week 9 with an adventurous day of kayaking on the Warrandyte river. Students were geared up with helmets and PFDs as they were instructed on all the necessary equipment, skills and safety signs. They worked in pairs to manoeuvre their kayak down to the river for a 2 hour paddle where some discovered they would get much wetter than expected! Overall, they did a fantastic job, stepping out of their comfort zone to experience something that was a first for many. There were lots of splashes, laughs and screams as well as, hopefully, a lifelong memory.
