Fair Go Sport!

Athletics 2021

RHS Fair Go Sport! Athletics 2021

Our Fair Go Sport! Athletics Day is an annual cause for celebration and an inclusive event for our entire school community. Mr Todorovski puts an enormous amount of time into organising the entire day with events and supervision in all track and field areas, and staff worked together to demonstrate, observe and record the results, tirelessly, in the sunshine for the entire day. Three Year 12 students put on a wonderful performance as our mascots, the Merri Koala, Darebin Turtle, and Plenty Eagle, which really inspired the competitive team spirit and atmosphere. Our opening ceremony, spoken by Mr Price, outlined the goal of the day, which was a Fair Go and Respect for all.

In light of International Women's Day which was celebrated earlier that week, and as a

Respectful Relationship school, staff and students participated in a commitment walk, to demonstrate their intention to defend equal rights. Our RAH! social justice club set up a stall to promote respect and the diversity of our school community. We had some engaging activities, such as face painting, a pledge banner, sticker, and badge making thanks to Kate from Darebin Youth Hub, Northland. Thanks to each and every person who contributed to this uplifting and inspiring day!
