Principal's Report

Getting back to normal

It has been fantastic over the last month or so to see school returning to normal. Having parents attending assemblies, having our school photo day and having our students compete so well in inter-school sports.  We are also looking forward to our Foundation students going on their first excursion next week.

School life is about far more than just the learning that happens in the classroom and it is wonderful to be able to have these extra-curricular activities taking place once again.

With this in mind, it is fantastic that we are able to have our first Working Bee of the year this Sunday. Thank you so much to Ted and everyone who is volunteering to come along. We really appreciate that you are able to get involved in helping maintain and improve the school environment for our students.

I would also like to let you know that we will be having a 'Welcome BBQ and Open Classrooms' on Thursday 22nd April (first week of Term 2). We had to postpone this event earlier in the year due to COVID protocols, but are now really looking forward to having a fun afternoon that will include parent/children games on the oval, a bbq and a chance to visit your child's classroom. Please make a note of the day in your calendars and we will share more information closer to the date of the event.

Parent-Teacher Interviews

Parent-Teacher interviews will be conducted during the final week of this term via Webex. This is part of changes to our feedback schedule that spreads parent feedback over the course of the year. This includes interviews in Terms 1 and 3 and an updated reporting format for Semester Reports in Terms 2 and 4.

Further details about the date, time and booking will be sent out via COMPASS tomorrow.

2022 Enrolments

Enrolments are now open for 2022 and it would be great to start receiving your enrolment forms for students beginning in Foundation (or at other levels next year). The sooner we receive enrolments, the sooner we can begin planning for next year. Please find the enrolment form below and it can be sent to the school via post (Kalinda Primary School, 39-49 Kalinda Rd, Ringwood 3134) or by email to kalinda.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au

For any new families to the school, you are able to book a tour via the link below:
