Classroom & Curriculum News

eSafety

On Monday the 15th of March, grade 3/4 and 5/6 students participated in the virtual classroom webinar, Be an eSafe kid: Being an upstander.

The webinar explored how a small action (posting a photo) can cause harm. It looked at the ways students can be upstanders and support their friends online.

Students participated in discussions and completed questions on why it is important to be an upstander and ways that they could be an upstander online.

The webinar also looked at things students could do if they have made a mistake and have commented or shared something without thinking, and the things they could do to help repair the damage.

As a school, we take the online wellbeing of our students very seriously and we aim to give them every opportunity to educate them in how to be safe and respectful online.
