Coastal Forest Lodge Camp a Huge Success!!

The Year 5 / 6 students will not be reading this article today, as they will all be still asleep due to an incredibly successful school camp over the past three days.  Our students were involved in a range of different activities, such as archery, hut building and low ropes. They also tried their hand at yabbying and animal petting. On the last day, the students were involved in an excursion to the lighthouse at Airey's Inlet as well as some environmental education on the beach. Here are some students' thoughts...

Ankita ~ "I found camp really enjoyable because the hosts were really nice and all the activities were fun and challenging"

Liam ~ "I really liked feeding the animals at the petting zoo!"

Maleah ~ "On the first day I got to pat and hug an alpaca, which happens to be my favourite animal!"

Josh ~ "I loved playing with Dusty and Floyd, the camp dogs. The low ropes course was really challenging and exhausting, but I had help from my partner, Ahan. I had lots of free time which I spent playing cricket, basketball and table tennis. And the best part of the camp was going to the beach!"

Faith ~ "The food was excellent ~ we had some  yummy  watermelon!"

Sylvie ~ "My favourite activity, by far, was climbing to the top of the lighthouse, although it was a little scary being so high up."

David ~ "I liked going yabbying and even though we went three times, there was only one person, Ryan, who caught something."

Mili ~ "My favourite time was dinner. I am extremely tired!"

Anni ~ "I enjoyed the low ropes the most, because I was able to help others achieve success and they were able to help me as well. Thanks, David!"
