CAREER EXPO

Kass Holmes, VET Leader

On Thursday 29 July 2021 Aberfoyle Park High School will be hosting its Career Expo. This will be held in The Hub Recreation Centre. Students will have the opportunity to meet and chat with Registered Training Organisation (RTO), University ambassadors and representatives from business organisations to ask questions and find out about career pathways and courses.

Year 10 - 12, 3rd and 4th Year IGNITE students will participate in the Expo at selected times during the day from 12.00pm to 3.00pm. Students will gain information about courses, future pathways and opportunities in South Australia.

All students are welcome at lunch time to come along and ask questions and collect brochures to learn about future pathways.

What is exciting is that there is also an evening session 5.00pm-7.00pm for parents and the community to come along and also learn about courses, future pathways and opportunities in South Australia and the local area.

Torrens and Flinders Universities, along with Uni SA and The University of Adelaide will be attending to share their knowledge about courses and professions, as will TafeSA. Other organisations attending consist of the Motor Trade, Engineering, Hospitality, STEM and Music.

More than 45 booths with different career options will be at the Aberfoyle Park High School Career Expo.

The Career Expo is designed to coincide with students undertaking Course Selection and Counselling and subject selection for 2022 during our Wellbeing for Learning Program and will be beneficial for students wishing to find out more information on post school options.
