Senior School Update

We were very happy to be back to a normal week last week in Senior School. Students and teachers value every lesson as they are all sequenced towards set assessment dates, which after another (thankfully brief) lockdown, it’s a great time to remind parents and students that every session’s attendance matters. Year 10 GAT and VCE SAC dates are all provided well in advance, some of which run after school on Thursdays. Students should always be aware of those dates and ensure they have made changes if needed to part time work or sport commitments.

VCAL students should be well under way with their VET placements now, and have either started or made plans for their Structured Work Placements. If there are any queries or concerns, please check in with the Careers Team ASAP.

Last week our Year 12 VCE students had their first of several Elevate tutorials, which was very well received with every student providing positive comments in their feedback. The goal of this session was to get students understanding the needs of their learning, planning, and commitment to their studies. The future Elevate sessions will have a small cost attached to each, unfortunately with the lockdown this time and the possible cancellation, we didn’t get to apply the charge. Year 11 VCE have their first tutorial Monday. Parents you should be able to ask your child how it went and find them motivated and ready to work hard at their studies!

As always, if you have any queries or concerns, please contact your child’s Home Group teacher; they will always be able to help or point you in the right direction. If you have troubles logging in with Compass, you can contact the front office on 9788 2600.
