PI Day Celebration

The college celebrated  Pi (π) Day today, Monday, 15th of March. There were different activities and competitions in all the Mathematics classes that students enjoyed.  There was the yearly bake a cake/cupcake contest for the culinary enthusiasts where the students’ creativity in decorating the pie cakes/cupcakes was the main criteria in judging. There was a competition for writing words that start with pi, as well as Trivia questions where answers start with pi. Ms. Star’s Year 7 students played a pi dice game. Other students enjoyed the Story time of Sir Cumference and the First Round table. And for the art enthusiasts, there was  the color- in competition using the values of pi. A Year 7 student, Finn Piccolli, recited 102 digits of pi in front of Maths teachers! Cash prizes were given to students who won the class challenge activities.
