Visiting Rabbits

Over the past few weeks, we have had the good fortune of having Blackberry the rabbit and her babies visit us in the Centre. To our excitement, Blackberry arrived with newborn kits (baby rabbits). 

Their visit has inspired much provocation for learning and inquiry. The children have been thrilled to see the litter of kits grow quickly from tiny babies to young rabbits, and were able to capture these observations in their drawings.  

We have enjoyed discussions about their habitat, care and growth. Counting down the days, the children were finally able to hold the little rabbits before they returned to the farm.
