Kiwanis Terrific Kids Awards

Our Kiwanis Terrific Kids awards for Term 3 were presented at assembly this morning. Terrific Kids is a student recognition program that promotes character development, self-esteem and perseverance. “Terrific” is an acronym for Thoughtful, Enthusiastic, Respectful, Responsible, Inclusive, Friendly, Inquisitive and Capable. What makes this award so esteemed at Echuca East is that it is voted for by the students themselves. Well done to our awards recipients for Term 3. You truly are Terrific Kids.

Little Easties

This week was the last session of our ‘Little Easties’ program before we begin our usual transitions to school in Term 4. I have been lucky enough to pop into most of these sessions and I have been amazed in the growth of these future Easties. There is no doubt that these students are going to fly into Prep in 2023. Thank you to all families that took part in the program and we look forward to seeing more of you during transition in Term 4.

Level 2 Swimming

Our Level 2 students have just completed their first week of swimming lessons. Not only is it a whole lot of fun, but our annual swimming program is an essential part of the curriculum. It has been great to hear about the improvements being made by our students in the pool and with the water being such a big part of our lives in Echuca, opportunities like these are so important. Great job, Level 2, keep up the great work next week.

Footy Colours Day

It’s that time of year again and the footy finals are in full swing. To finish of what has been a jam-packed term, next Friday will be our annual Footy Colours Day. Mr Holmfield is planning a great day for all students, with plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. Students are invited to dress up in their favourite teams’ colours for what is sure to be a great day. Being the last day of term it will be an early dismissal, with school finishing at 1.25pm.
