FREE BOOKS!

Have you heard of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library? It is a book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five every month, no matter their family’s income. As stated on Dolly’s website: ‘The research is clear; children who have books around them before they get to school will succeed. Children who have no books, without the love of reading, start the race behind and they never catch up.’ If you have a younger sibling, friend or family member, sign them up today! Numeracy

This week we had a visit from ‘World of Maths’. Students in Foundation, Year 1/2 and Year 3/4 participated in sessions on Monday 22nd August. Year 5/6 students attended sessions on Tuesday 23rd August.

Here are some reflections from our students:

On Monday night we also held a Family Maths Night. It was absolutely wonderful to see so many families attend and engage in a range of real-life problem solving activities. Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in the shared learning experiences.
