MacqLit Literacy Program

We are delighted to announce the commencement of the MacqLit Literacy Program in the Year 3/4 area of our school. MacqLit is an explicit and systematic reading intervention program for small groups of older readers. The program is delivered through a comprehensive sequence of lessons that includes all the key components necessary for effective reading instruction: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. We now have two accredited Education Staff to deliver this program to support student in Years 3 and 4.

Responsible Pet Education

Our children in Foundation - Year 2 are looking forward to engaging in the Responsible Pet Education Program next week. This program is most valuable in teaching children how to behave and interact with dogs and develops an awareness of cues and behaviours important to understand about dogs.
