Year 7 Biology

Miriam Karelsky

Year 7 students have been having fun in science and learning about ecosystems.  Students used their understanding of this topic to construct a stable ecosystem for aquatic plants and macroinvertebrates (pond snails).

Students were also assigned a specific biome to study and find interesting facts about the climate, flora and fauna found in their biome, and identify how human activities have impacted their biome. They included their Christian perspective or a Bible verse about their biome.

Biomes included coniferous forest, temperate deciduous forest, desert, grassland, rainforest, shrubland and tundra.  All students created amazing dioramas of their assigned biome.
